About

30+ years. Family owned. Greenup, Kentucky.

Quick Response started in a small Kentucky town with a family-owned shop and the conviction that 24/7 response actually means around the clock. Three decades later, that conviction is still the operating principle.

Independent. For a reason.

Big national contractors have their place. But for the calls our customers make at 2 a.m. — derailments, hazmat releases, spills — they need decisions, not approvals.

Our story

Built where the calls come in.

Quick Response started where most environmental services companies don’t: in a small town in northeastern Kentucky, with a family-owned shop and the belief that round-the-clock response actually means round the clock. Three decades later, that conviction is still the operating principle.

We still answer the phone at 2 a.m. We’re still based in Greenup County, on the same stretch of land where the trucks live and the crews report. We’re still family owned, still independent, still making decisions about people and equipment from the same shop.

Over the years we’ve grown what we do — adding hi-rail capability, hydro excavation, manufacturing services, confined space rescue, waste transport. But the core hasn’t changed. When someone in Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, or the surrounding region has an environmental incident they can’t handle alone, we’re the call they make. We’ve earned that role one job at a time.

The thing we’re proudest of: 20+ years of continuous certified-vendor status with both CSX and Norfolk Southern. Class I railroads don’t keep contractors around for two decades by accident. They keep them because the work is solid, the paperwork is clean, and the crews show up when called.

What sets us apart

Why customers stay with us for decades.

30+ years of incident experience

We’ve handled most of what can go wrong in the field — and we’ve done it long enough that the lessons compound. A new contractor learns from each job. We’ve already learned from thousands.

Built for road AND rail

Hi-rail-equipped trucks, FRA-certified inspector, set of tracks at our shop, 20+ years as a CSX and NS vendor. Most environmental contractors are road-only. We’re not.

Family owned, locally rooted

We’re not part of a national chain. The decisions about how we run, who we hire, and how we treat customers are made in Greenup — by people whose names are on the building.

Decisions, not approvals.

When a chemical plant has a release at 3 a.m., they need crews moving — not a contractor’s regional manager calling corporate to authorize the truck roll. Independence means our shift supervisor can dispatch the truck, the crew, and the equipment without waiting for a phone tree.

That’s not a small thing. That’s the whole reason customers call us.
