Real work. Real training.
Quick Response is hiring field crew, CDL drivers, and operators. We train, we pay for the credentials, and we’re a family-owned shop that’s still in the same Kentucky town we started in 30+ years ago.
We pay for the training. We promote from inside.
Hazwoper, CDL, hazmat endorsements, FRA hi-rail certification, confined space rescue — all paid for and tracked by us. Most of our supervisors started in field crew roles.
What it’s like at the Greenup shop.
Training is paid for
OSHA Hazwoper, CDL, hazmat endorsements, confined space rescue, annual Ohio State Fire Academy week — all on the company. You walk in with a willingness to learn, you walk out with credentials that follow you for life.
No two days alike
One day it’s a hydro excavation job at a chemical plant. The next, a derailment on a CSX line. Then a routine sewer cleanout for a city. Then a turnaround at a refinery. The variety is what keeps people here for decades.
Promotion is from within
Most of our field supervisors started as field crew. The hi-rail inspector started as an operator. We invest in people who stick, and we promote based on the work — not on resumes that didn’t include us.
Local roots
The shop is in Greenup. Most of our crew lives within a 30-minute drive. Most of our work is within 250 miles. You’re not a number in a national chain — your name is on the radio when dispatch calls a job.
Family owned, independent
Decisions about overtime, equipment, scheduling, and how we treat customers are made in Greenup — not by a regional manager three states away. Independence means accountability flows through people you actually see.
Real safety culture
30+ years of clean records on Class I railroad sites and major industrial customers. Safety isn’t a poster on the breakroom wall — it’s why customers keep calling us back, and why crew members go home in one piece every shift.
What we typically need.
Specific openings vary throughout the year. If your background fits any of these categories, send us an application — we keep applications on file and reach out when openings come up.
Spill response, plant cleaning, vacuum truck support, confined space work. We train Hazwoper, CDL, and hazmat from the ground up. No prior environmental experience required — willingness to learn and work outdoors does the job.
Waste transport across the tri-state and beyond. Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement preferred; we’ll pay for endorsement upgrades for the right candidate. Clean MVR required.
Vacuum trucks, Mud Dog hydro excavator, hydroblasting equipment. Operator track leads to field supervisor roles. Heavy equipment background a plus; mechanical aptitude required.
Fleet maintenance on vactor trucks, hi-rail trucks, Mud Dog hydrovac, and support equipment. DOT inspection familiarity preferred. Diesel and hydraulic systems experience required.
The qualifications that matter.
We’re a 30+ year safety-record company. The bar is real. Here’s what we expect from anyone joining the field crew:
- Reliability — emergency calls come at 2 a.m. and on holidays. The crew shows up.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR. CDL preferred but not required for entry-level field crew.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Physical ability for outdoor work in all weather, lifting, climbing, confined space entry as required.
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Willingness to be on-call for 24/7 emergency response rotation.
- Team mindset — small crews, tight quarters, real consequences. We work together or we don’t work.
